Hello, I’m Sam: Your Family Photographer
Family is everything, time is precious. I’d love to capture those memories for you.
Hi there, I’m so pleased you’ve jumped on this page so I can tell you about me, the human behind the camera. As many Mum’s I wear many hats! I’m a Mum to Charlie and Austin, wife to Andy, a TV producer by trade and now family and lifestyle photographer.
I love people: their stories, their faces and I have been working on primetime documentaries for the BBC and Channel 4 for the past 15 years. So, in many ways photography was a natural progression.
Born and raised in Falmouth, Cornwall, I have recently returned home to Cornwall having just moved from Bristol. I have lived all over the country, Birmingham, Manchester, London and Bristol but I am thrilled to be back in my homeland, close to family and some wonderful friends.
So what brings me here? Since having Charlie I rediscovered my passion for taking photos and having worked with TV cameras before my pregnancy I realised how much I missed that creative arm of my life.
Embracing the beauty of natural light, my style is reflective of my career as a TV producer: observational, natural, unobtrusive. This approach allows me to capture the essence of your family, whatever size, in a real, human, ‘normal’ way. And to me, that it is such a joy.
Memories are priceless, and time has a way of slipping through our fingers as life unfolds. Let me capture those moments for you to look back on and cherish forever.
My Top 5
-
Stripes
I’m not sure when something becomes an obsession, but I love a breton, striped t-shirt, stripe pyjama, sock! My love for stripes is so strong I have a drawer dedicated to the humble stripe top. Forever a classic for me and hopefully a future classic for my little lads too.

Cornwall
My oh my she’s a beaut of a county. The sea, the sun (when it does shine) and the food! Pasties anyone! I will forever be proud of the homeland and forever proud of the Kernow sticker on my car.
-
Plants
A rather new love, gardening and house plants. At the latest count I have over 30 houseplants and for some reason I am always on the look out for more. I love to potter around in the garden, do a tidy, mow the lawn, see what’s growing. Heaven.

My Boys
No top 5 could be complete without my lads on the list. Being in a house of boy is actually not quite how I imagined, fairly smelly, will probably only get smellier. Hope not though.

Food
Eating brings me such joy! Is it weird to have a list in a list? In no particular order: Chocolate, yoghurt, ramen, jacket potatoes with cheese and beans and sushi. NOM.
